VETS CUP  -  2010/2011

We continue the same format in the "HANDICUP" as last year- which is a half way house between a Handicap  and a Cup format. The purpose (as discussed at the last AGM) was to devise a format which would make it less likely that the same team would run away with the League and the Cup titles in the one season, It will be arranged on a knock out basis and the draw will be seeded on the basis of points earned in the League. In addition, the weaker team in each match will be awarded BONUS points (to a maximum of 7 points) equal to the average of the difference between the two teams in the League Matches already played (walk overs will not be taken into account). The HANDICUP match will be played exactly as a League match (same scoring system, same playing order, etc) and the winner will be the team with the highest points - taking into account that the weaker team will start with the BONUS points described above. In the case of a DRAW - the weaker team will go through.
