Women Who Squash Sept 2017 – Entries

The “Women Who Squash September 2017 Kick-off” tournament is now taking entries.

This event is a one day event on Saturday, 9th September, so plan on at least three matches throughout the day. There are four divisions – Ladies A, B, C, and Masters (for the more mature ladies among us). Entry fee is €25 which will include lunch and a goody bag.

The event will take place in Sutton on their five courts.

Any questions, please let me know. I’m looking forward to seeing some old and new faces!

Curragh Open 2017 – Entries

The first senior competition of the new season is now open for entries. The Curragh Open takes place on 22nd-24th September and has Mens A/B/C and Ladies A categories.

Mount Pleasant Junior Open 2017 – Entries

This year’s Mount Pleasant Junior Mixed Open takes place on 2nd and 3rd September. Unlike other tournaments in the calendar, this tournament sees players grouped on ability rather than age groups. This ensures more competitive matches and a positive experience for participants.

Deirdre Wins at the 21st World Transplant Games

Congratulations to Deirdre Faul (Old Belvedere) on winning squash gold at the 21st World Transplant Games in Malaga. Deirdre took her 6th consecutive gold in the event yesterday by beating Sandrine Lagree from France.

As well gold in squash she went on to won gold in the 100m breaststroke and then broke the world record to win gold in the 200m breaststroke.

What an achievement – well done Deirdre!

Sutton Summer Camp 2017

Sutton are holding adult coaching sessions over the summer to which members and non-members are invited.

They take place over 6 weeks, from 16th July until August 21st. Details are attached.

Mount Pleasant Summer Camp 2017


Mount Pleasant are holding summer camps again this summer under the guidance of world renowned coaches Ronny Vlassaks and Alex Hodgetts.

Ronny is in Ireland 17th – 21st July

Alex takes over 21st – 25th August

Camps for juniors will be during the day while the adult classes will be held in the evening.

Sportsco Squash Night – May 2017

Sportsco are hosting an evening of squash on Wednesday 24th May for anyone new to the sport or is in area. Exhibition matches, friendly games and ‘beat-the-coach’ competitions are all planned.

The squash kicks off at 6pm, it’s a free event and all equipment will be provided.

Girls in Squash Event – May 2017

Sutton are hosting a “Girls in Squash” evening on Wednesday 24th May with guest superstar and Olympic silver medalist Annalise Murphy making a special appearance.

Annalise will be giving a talk about her experiences, her training and what sport means to her.

Sutton U15 One-day tournament May 2017 – Entries

The next Sutton junior one-day tournament takes place on Sunday 14th May, 1.30pm to 6pm. This tournament is open to all U13’s.
